Telugu TV channel reporter swept away in floodwater found dead

Jagtial, July 15: Telugu TV channel reporter Zameeruddin, who washed away along with his car while crossing a culvert submerged in floodwater in between Ramojipet and Bhupatipur villages in Raikal mandal on Tuesday evening, was found dead.
 
A rescue operation was launched to find Zameer and car on Tuesday night itself after locals alerted officials. Lateef, who was travelling with Zameer, was rescued by villagers. Rescue efforts were hampered due to continuous rains. Even though, the car was spotted on Thursday evening, rescue team was able to bring car and Zameer’s body out of the water on Friday morning. His body was spotted hanging to a tree branch.
 
The mishap took place when Zameer was returning Jagtial after covering news of rescuing nine labourers stuck in floodwater because of heavy inflows into Godavari river.
