IAS officer enrolls his children in govt school

Vijayawada, July 6: An IAS officer took a commendable initiative in Vijayawada. When everyone, irrespective of their financial status, are sending their children to corporate schools by taking loans, this IAS officer had enrolled his two children in a government school in Vijayawada.
 
IAS officer and Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) MD Prabhakar Reddy admitted his children at Patamata Koneru Basavaiah Chowdary ZP High School on Tuesday. His wife Lakshmi went to the school and admitted the children. Speaking on the occasion, she said that they have admitted their children in the school as it has all facilities and a spacious play ground. The son was admitted in sixth class while the daughter was admitted in eighth class. 
 
Earlier also, when Prabhakar Reddy was working as Joint Collector of Nellore district, he admitted his children in government school only.
