That’s why I am joining BJP: Ex MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy

Hyderabad, July 1: Former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy announced that he is joining the BJP. He said, “There are no chances for the Congress to sustain in the State. Only BJP can defeat the TRS, hence I took the decision.”

He further said that he lost trust on Congress and after holding discussions for long and observed that it will be good to join the BJP. Though Congress is somewhat strong in Telangana compared to other States, that is not enough to defeat the ruling TRS, he observed. Reddy added that there are more chances for the saffron party to come to power in Telangana.

The former MP said that he will join the BJP either on Friday or Saturday. Although he clarified that he is not expecting any post and will join as an activist only, on the other hand Konda announced that he will contest from Chevella Parliament seat.

The former MP said that BJP is not against any section, opposes terrorists and corrupt people. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao planning to go for early elections before his corruption came to light, he alleged and added that the Centre will take action against KCR as per the law.

Speaking about Revanth Reddy, Konda said that he is having a personal friendship with Revanth and their political ways are different. He said that Congress has given him a post after losing all its strength. ‘If only I got a right post at the right time, I might not have to leave the Congress,’ he noted.

Vishweshwar said that three among the police officials, who filed illegal cases against him due to the pressure from CM KCR, would sure go to prison.
