Banks to remain close for 14 days in July

Hyderabad, July 1: Banks across the country will remain closed for about 14 days in July this year, including second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. According to the list released by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks will be closed for eight days other than weekends in this month.
 
The Central bank will release month-wise holidays list of both private and public banks at the beginning of financial year. Hence customers have to plan their banking works as per the holidays. 
 
The holidays list is like this :
 
July 1 – Kang Ratha Yatra (Banks will not work in Bhubaneswar and Imphal)
July 3 – Sunday
July 5 – Guru Hargovind Singhji Prakash Diwas (Banks will not work in Jammu and Kashmir)
July 7 – Kharchi puja (Banks will not work in Agartala)
July 9 – Second Saturday and Id-Ul-Azha (Bakrid)
July 10 – Sunday
July 11 – Id-Ul-Azha (Banks will not work in Jammu and Srinagar)
July 13 – Bhanu Jayanti (Banks will not work in Gangtok)
July 14 – Beh Dienkhlam (Banks will not work in Shillong)
July 16 – Harela (Banks will not work in Dehradun)
July 17 – Sunday
July 23 – Fourth Saturday
July 24 – Sunday
July 31 - Sunday
