Tirupati, Nellore $ Vijaywada to adopt solar street lighting system

Vijaywada, Dec 27: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana here announced that in addition to Vishakhapatnam three more cties in the state will soon have solar street lighting systems. Three cities are Vijaywada, Nellore and Tirupati, he said. Narayana was in Vijayawada to inaugurating the sewerage treatment plant at Autonagar. In Visakhapatnam, out of the total 96,000 street lights so far 85,000 have been converted into solar street lights. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the solar lighting system in Vizag.
