Musi project gates set to open anytime; officials sound alarm

Nalgonda, June 22: With just one feet gap left to reach the full capacity, the officials announced that the gates of Musi project may be lifted any time. They warned the people living in the downstream areas to be cautious.
 
Hyderabad meteorological department officials informed heavy rains are likely to occur in several areas in Telangana on Wednesday. Musi project is receiving heavy inflows from upper regions due to heavy rains in catchment areas. The water level at the project is at 644 feet against the total capacity of 645 feet. Hence, there are chances to lift the gates and the officials issued warning.
