HC stays demolition of Ayyanna Patrudu house compound wall
Vijayawada, June 20: High Court expressed surprise at the demolition of the compound wall of the house of TDP leader Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu. The HC questioned the officials why they have demolished the wall during midnight when the court directed not to take up any demolition works after sun setting.
The HC gave interim orders to stop the demolition drive. HC Justice D Ramesh issued orders in this regard and suggested the government advocate to inform the officials immediately.
Vijay and Rajesh, the sons of Ayyanna Patrudu, on Sunday filed an emergency petition at High Court on Sunday, requesting to stop the demolition of their house compound wall. Advocate VV Satish, on behalf of the petitioners, argued that the house was constructed after getting approval for the house plan and after the inspection of Tahsildar and water resources department officials. The advocate alleged that the house compound wall was collapsed due to political rivalry.
Government advocate, on behalf of the revenue department, informed that already certain portion of the wall was collapsed and asked some time to submit full details.
With this, the Judge postponed the case to June 21 and ordered officials concerned to stop demolition drive.
