Justice Lakshmana Reddy asks AP to change its land pooling policy
Vijayawada, Dec 26, 2014 : A team led by retired judge of the High Court Justice Lakshmana Reddy has undertaken a tour of the AP Capital region on Friday to know the difficulties of the farmers.
After speaking to farmers at Penumaka in Tadepally Mandalam of Guntur district, the former judge said that there are several loopholes in the land pooling policy announced by the Government for acquiring land for the construction of the Capital city.
Asking the Government to amend its land pooling policy, Justice Lakshmana Reddy assured the farmers that his team will extend all possible cooperation to the affected farmers where ever necessary.
The team also asked the media to change its attitude and inform the farmers about the facts.
"The media should behave responsible and it should not terrorise the public , especially the farmers.
