High security at Raj Bhavan
Hyderabad, June 16: NSUI leaders and activists lay siege to Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad on Thursday morning, as a protest against the Enforcement Directorate for questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
The ED has been questioning Rahul Gandhi for the past three days in connection with national herald case. Rahul is being questioned about Young Indian ownership by Nehru-Gandhi family and its shares in Associate Journals Limited, which runs National Herald newspaper.
Protesting the questioning of Rahul Gandhi, Congress leaders and activists have been staging protests across the country for the past three days. Following the call of TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy, party leaders lay siege to Raj Bhavan.
They reached the Raj Bhavan all of a sudden and squatted in front of the gate. They raised slogans against the Central government and ED. Police rushed to the spot and took the leaders into custody. Heavy police personnel were deployed at Raj Bhavan to prevent any untoward incidents.
