KTR warns dismissal of negligent civic staff

Hyderabad, June 3: Following the warning of Minister KT Rama Rao, GHMC officials and staff became alert. The Minister and GHMC commissioners and higher officials have warned the civic staff to ensure that there will be no pits on roads and footpaths and to take action before June 5. The officials warned that they will be terminated along with filing criminal cases against them if human loss occurs due to their negligence.
 
Deputy commissioners, SE, EEs and other officials of engineering department and sanitation officials were ordered to complete certain works. They are – these officials have to walk along each road, lane, bylanes and drains of the areas during their survey. They are told not to go in vehicles. They should inform the EE if there are any pits and road cuttings and make them to fill.
 
Fencing should be erected for every nala which is more than two meters width. There should be roof for nalas with lesser width. Broken caps of catchpits should be replaced with new ones.
 
Fencing should be set up for all culverts and danger sign boards at the places where they are needed. After completing all these works, Deputy commissioner and EEs should confirm 100 per cent safety in all places.
