Engg student commits suicide, family blames TRS corporator responsible

Pahadi Shareef, Hyderabad, June 3: An engineering student Eeranki Sarath Vamshi Goud committed suicide on Wednesday midnight. His father Narasimha Goud alleged that Vamshi committed suicide as he was unable to bear the humiliation after TRS corporator and his brother attacked him.

The victim belongs to Mamidipalli of Badangpet corporation limits.

Narasimha Goud explained that he has water tankers business in Mamidipalli. “One month ago, one night power supply stopped at the bore and I was checking it with the mobile torch. At the same time, local TRS corporator Sukka Sivakumar and his brother Srikanth, who have occupied the nearby government land, were flattening it. They asked me whether I am video recording their activity and tried to attack me.”

He said that his son Vamshi Goud came to know of this incident and questioned the corporator, which led to argument. On the same day, they complained to Pahadi Shareef police stating that they have life threat from corporator and his brother. But police neglected out complaint.

Narasimha Goud said that the corporator’s brother again attacked my son on May 27. Unable to bear the humiliation, my son hanged himself in his room on Wednesday night, he added.

Pahadi Shareef Inspector Venkateswarlu said that they didn’t receive any complaint in this regard. He said that they are investigating the youth suicide.

Meanwhile, TRS corporator Sukka Sivakumar asserted that they don’t have any link with Sarath Vamshi Goud’s suicide. His family and personal problems might have forced him to end his life, he said and added that there was no truth in the allegations being made against them.
