Nellore: Mekapati Vikram files nomination for Atmakur by-election

Nellore, June 2: Mekapati Vikram Reddy on Thursday filed nomination for Atmakur by-election as YSRCP candidate. He reached the RDO office in Atmakur in a rally after offering special prayers at a temple located near bypass road.
 
On Wednesday, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy handed over B form to Vikram. Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy, former ministers and YSRCP MLAs Anil Kumar Yadav and Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, former MP and YSRCP leader Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and other YSRCP leaders were present while Vikram handing over nomination papers to the RDO.
 
Talking to reporters, Vikram said that he will complete the unfinished works of his brother Goutham Reddy in Atmakur Assembly constituency. Balineni said that the YSRCP should win with a majority of 1 lakh votes. Meanwhile, the BJP finalised the name of Bharat Kumar Yadav as its party candidate for Atmakur by-election. It is not clear as to whether Bharat Kumar is consensus candidate for BJP and Jana Sena.
