TS govt announces Rs 2 crore each for Nikhat, Esha Singh; Rs 1 crore for Kinnera Mogilaiah
Hyderabad, June 1: The Telangana government on Wednesday announced cash reward of Rs 2 crore each to Nikhat Zareen and Esha Singh and housing plots either in Jubilee Hills or Banjara Hills on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day.
Nikhat won gold medal at World Women Boxing Championship held in Turkey while Esha Singh secured three gold medals at the ISSF Junior World Cup in 10m Air Pistol event. Nikhat hails from Nizamabad district and Esha belongs to Hyderabad.
Besides, the TRS government also declared Rs 1 crore cash reward to Telangana folk artist Padma Shri Awardee Kinnera Mogilaiah. As requested by him, the state government decided to allocate land for construction of a house at BN Reddy Nagar.
The Telangana government wants to motivate the sports persons by giving cash rewards and housing plots. While congratulating Nikhat, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said that his government wants to set up rural sports centres in villages.
