Husband of judge fears threat to life, seeks police protection

Anantapuram, Dec 24, 2014: In an interesting incident, husband of a woman-judge lodged police complaint seeking protection to his life from his wife, in-laws and their friends. In the complaint lodged at two-town police station here, one Jitendra told police that he had married Sridevi on March 7 , 2014. "Hardly one week after the marriage, differences developed between us and persisted even till today," he told police. Sridevi is a judge in a Miyapur court in Hyderabad. Jitendra informed police that he had applied for divorce in Anantapuram family court and spent the whole day at the court on Tuesday with his lawyer Adisesha Reddy. "When I went home at 6 PM, I saw my wife, his parents and their friend Sekhar in the house. They dragged me inside , abused me and assaulted me," he told in his complaint. He said he had somehow escaped from the house and went straight to the government hospital for treatment of the wounds sustained on his forehead, chest and neck in the assault. He sought protection to self and his parents saying there is a threat to his life and to the lives of his parents from his wife and her parents.
