4 of marriage party die in mishap in Krishna dist

Machilipatnam, May 27: Four persons of a marriage party died and 15 others sustained severe injuries after the vehicle they were travelling was overturned. The incident took place near Kasanagar of Mopidevi mandal on Thursday. 
 
According to information, a marriage party was going from Chintalamada village, Challapalli mandal to Pedbrolu village of Mopidevi mandal. Driver lost control over the vehicle leading to the accident. The vehicle was overturned and was dragged up to 20 meters on the road, killing four persons in vehicle. 
 
The deceased were identified as Gurram Vijaya (50), Burepalli Ramana (52), Burepalli Venkateswaramma (50) and Kona Venkatesh (70). Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to hospital.
 
Police suspect overspeeding as the cause of the mishap. A case was registered and investigation is going on.
