If not for police, we might have burned alive: MLA P Satish Kumar
Amalapuram, May 25: If not for the police, we might have burned alive, lamented MLA Ponnada Satish Kumar. He said, “My family and I are on the first floor and protestors torched the ground floor. I saw the entire house in flames. Police, especially the DSP, fired in the air and shifted my family to safety.”
Protesting the change of name of Konaseema district, protestors torched the Mummidivaram MLA’s house on Tuesday.
The MLA told the media that the incident was nothing but Opposition leaders’ conspiracy, who instigated their activists for the destruction. Protestors coming along with petrol cans clearly show that it was pre-planned to torch my house, he alleged. The agitators even pelted stones at the police and burnt buses also, he added.
