How can KCR nominate Hetero drugs chief to Rajya Sabha: Jagga Reddy
Hyderabad, May 24: Congress MLA Jagga Reddy fired salvos on the selection of Hetero Drugs chief Parthasarathy Reddy to Rajya Sabha. How could Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao nominate him as MP, who was involved in remdesivir injection scam, he questioned. He further alleged that KCR had a business deal with Hetero Drugs chief to use the pharma scam money.
The Congress MLA alleged that during corona pandemic, each remdesivir injection was sold for Rs one lakh in black market. He asked the government as to why it supplied this injection at its original price?
Pointing out that the facts about the IT raids on Hetero Drugs didn’t came out till date, Jagga Reddy suspected that though the officials announced of finding out Rs 500 crores during raids, but it must be Rs 10,000 crore.
He demanded that the remdesivir injection scam should be cleared before Parthasarathy files nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections. He questioned the government as to who gave permission for the sale of these injections and who cancelled the permission after three months.
The Congress leader said that they will complain to the Election Commission over Parthasarathy’s nomination and will seek CBI probe.
He also questioned BJP Central Minister Kishan Reddy and BJP State chief Bandi Sanjay about the party involvement in remdesivir scam.
