Minister Puvvada slaps defamation case on Teenmar Mallanna
Khammam, May 18: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar slapped a Rs 10 crore defamation case against Chintapandu Naveen Kumar alias Teenmar Mallanna for having made baseless allegations against him.
On behalf of the Minister, Hyderabad advocates Peri Venkata Ramana and Peri Prabhakar served notices to Teenmar Mallanna in this regard. They stated in the notice that Teenmar Mallanna had leveled false allegations against the Minister on his YouTube channel and paper, only to gain publicity.
It was further alleged in the notice that Mallanna, a BJP leader, published news on his digital newspaper alleging that Minister Ajay Kumar had grabbed land. The notice stated that all these allegations are false and baseless and were made only defame the Minister, who is striving to serve the public.
The notice stated that the journo has to pay Rs 10 crore as compensation to the Minister for damaging the latter’s reputation. It was also suggested in the notice that Teenmar Mallanna should tender an unconditional apology to the Minister within seven days of receipt of the notice.
It should be noted here that a police complaint was already filed against Teenmar Mallanna for his false allegations against Minister Ajay Kumar.
