CM Jagan gave recognition to BC movement by considering me to RS: R Krishnaiah

Amaravati, May 17: Talking to a reporter after meeting Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at latter’s camp office in Tadepalli on Tuesday, National Backward Classes Welfare Association president R. Krishnaiah expressed happiness over the YSRCP for considering his name for the member of the Upper House. “CM Jagan gave recognition to the BC movement by considering me to the Rajya Sabha,” he mentioned.

Krishnaiah showered praises on the CM for allocating 50% of nominated and corporation posts to BC, SC, ST and minorities. “Even in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh, there was no proper representation for BCs,” he criticised.

The BC leader slammed TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu for not standing on his promise of announcing him as a chief ministerial candidate prior to state bifurcation. In the past, Krishnaiah served as TDP MLA. But, he is popular as a leader striving for the welfare of BCs. The other three probable YSRCP candidates for Rajya Sabha are MP V. Vijayasai Reddy, former MLA Beeda Mastan Rao and advocate Niranjan Reddy.
