After hearing the case, the High Court told the AP government not to take hasty action in their case. The matter has been deferred to May 18.

A case was registered at One Town Chittoor police station on SSC question paper leakage following the complaint by Chittoor District DEO. Hyderabad police took former Minister P Narayana into custody and produced in Chittoor court. The court granted him bail.

In this context, former Minister Narayana daughters, son-in-law and Narayana Educational Institutions deputy general manager J Kondal Rao, M Kishore, Rapuru Koteswar Rao, VPNR Prasad, V Srinath and others filed a petition, urging the court to give anticipatory bail as they are afraid that the police may arrest them in the case.

Senior lawyer D Srinivas argued that the lower court had already granted bail to several accused in this case. ‘The petitioners have nothing to do with the malpractice. They are not accused in the case.’ Stating that there is a possibility of arresting the employees of Narayana Educational Institutions, he urged bail to the petitioners.

The judge issued anticipatory bail to the petitioners and directed the government not to take any action on the petitioners till May 18.
