Case under SC/ST Act registered against former TDP minister Prathipati Pulla Rao

Chilakaluripeta, May 14: The police registered a case under SC, ST Atrocities Act against former TDP minister Prathipati Pulla Rao based on the complaint of Town Planning supervisor K Sunitha. In the complaint, she alleged that the TDP leaders at the behest of Prathipati have made casteist remarks against her when she stopped them from re-launching NTR Sujala Sravanthi scheme here on Friday. The police named Pulla Rao as A1, Madan Mohan A2, B. Satyanarayana A3, Srinivasa Rao A4, and Karimulla as A5. 
 
Pulla Rao criticised the YSRCP government for obstructing the supply of drinking water to the poor. He made Health Minister Vidadala Rajini responsible for the tiff between the officials and TDP workers. On Friday, local TDP functionaries have entered into an altercation with police and civic officials for telling that scheme has no permission from the state government. Even, the Opposition party members staged a dharna on the road.
