FIR registered against Narayanpet District Congress chief on rape charges

Hyderabad, May 10: Based on a complaint of a woman, Panjagutta police registered FIR against Narayanpet District Congress President K Shiva Kumar Reddy. The 45-year-old woman, who happens to be Congress worker, alleged that Reddy became close with her on pretext of love.
When she asked about his marriage, Shiva Kumar told her that his wife is critically ill and cannot survive for more than three years. “The Congress district chief had married me by tying a yellow thread,” she claimed.
 
She levelled rape charges against him by saying that he had sexual intercourse with her without her consent at a hotel in Hyderabad. She alleged that Shiva Kumar clicked nude pictures of her in the hotel when she was in an unconscious state and threatened to post them on social media if she did not listen to him. Six months back, she staged a protest near the residence of Shiva Kumar in Narayanpet.
