Toddler dies after being hit by a reversing car

Hyderabad, May 10: A three-year-old girl died after hit by reversing car in Nacharam on Monday evening. 
 
According to police, Yatala Karunakar and Ravali, natives of Bekkal village, Maddur mandal, Siddipet district, have a son Rishi and daughter Siri. They migrated to Hyderabad last year and Karunakar is working as a watchman in Vanga Nilayam in Annapurna Colony in Nacharam. 
 
Siri was playing in front of the apartments on Monday evening. Meanwhile, cab driver Rajeevan Kumar came to Annapurna Colony to pick up a passenger. After the passenger boarded the car, Rajeevan reversed the car, which ran over the girl. Siri died on the spot.
 
Locals nabbed the driver and handed him over to police. A case was registered and investigation is on.
