Youth targets Ministers, MLAs, collects crores of rupees

Visakhapatnam, May 3: An educated youth targeted Ministers and MLAs to earn money by hook or crook and collected crores of rupees from them. 
 
P Vishnu Murthy alias Vishnu alias Sagar of Sri Nagar of Gajuvaka, Visakhapatnam, is a B Tech graduate and wanted to amass money by wrong ways. He used to call MLAs and demand money saying that he was speaking from Chief Minister’s office.
 
Recently he called Rajasthan MLA Sandeep Yadav and told him that he was speaking from Chief Minister Ashok Gehlat office. He demanded to send Rs 20 lakh. Based on a complaint from the MLA, police filed a cyber case and arrested Vishnu Murthy, after tracing his location based on his mobile phone.
 
After interrogating, police found out shocking information. It came to know that Vishnu Murthy collected about Rs 2.50 crore from the MLAs of Rajasthan, alleging that he was speaking from CM office. 
 
During police inquiry, it came to know that Vishnu Murthy purchased a flat at Rs 80 lakh at Gajuvaka for his girl friend.
 
After further inquiry, police said that several cases were booked against Vishnu Murthy in Andhra Pradesh also. Four cases were registered against him at several police stations in Visakhapatnam and Kasibugga in Srikakulam district. He collected Rs 1.80 crore from two Ministers and three MLAs in 2019. Police are yet to give the details.
