Clash among Cong leaders over Revanth’s Nalgonda tour

Hyderabad, April 29: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy’s Nalgonda tour sparked row in Congress party.
Revanth has been extensively touring all the districts in the State ahead of AICC chief Rahul Gandhi State tour. His Nalgonda tour was cancelled once and on Friday he is visiting Nagarjuna Sagar.
In this context, Bhuvanagiri MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy commented that there was no need for Revanth to visit Nalgonda district as party is strong there. “Besides, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana and I will look after everything here as we are king makers here,” Venkat Reddy reportedly stated. He further added that public will surely attend Rahul’s meetings in places where party is strong. Instead Revanth should visit other districts, where party do not have a strong hold and must prepare leaders and activists, he suggested.
This sparked discussions among the party circle that Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy is not willing to accept Revanth as PCC chief and he commented so as to tell Revanth not to visit Nalgonda district.
Revanth’s Nalgonda tour on April 27 was cancelled as Komatireddy and Uttam objected quoting that PCC leader fixed his programme without consulting two MPs of the district. Later, Revanth planned to visit Nagarjuna Sagar constituency which represented by party senior leader Jana Reddy.
Everyone is invited for the meeting and MP Uttam Kumar Reddy planned to take out a rally from Huzur Nagar to Sagar. But Komatireddy declared that he wouldn’t attend the meeting, which hints internal heat in the party.
Party leaders opined that as PCC chief Revanth can visit any district in the State and none can restrict him from doing so. Whatever, Revanth’s Nalgonda tour, MP Komatireddy comments became hot topic in the party.
