Power of comman man: CEC slaps e-challans on TRS leaders for putting up flexis, banners
Hyderabad, April 28: Responding to the complaints posted on social media, Central Enforcement Cell (CEC) issued E-challans to several TRS leaders including Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav.
On the occasion of TRS plenary session in Hyderabad on Wednesday, TRS leaders put up banners, hoardings, flexis in the city. Literally the city turned pink with pink ribbon festoons, hoardings etc. Twitter users wrote, “Accidents may happen if these big hoardings crash and fall on people. Hence, remove them immediately and take action on those, who erected them.”
With this, CEC started issuing E-challans from the Minister to division level party leaders and said that removing them is the responsibility of zonal and circle officials. There are hundreds of flexis and banners in the city. But the officials are levying penalty only for those against which they received complaints while there are many more which are escaping from legal action.
E-challans were issued to the flexis under the name of Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav at Jubilee Hills, KBR Park, Punjagutta, Nampally, Narayanaguda, Chadarghat, Ambarpet, Tarnaka, Patny, East Marredpally, Mettuguda and other areas in the city. Rs 5,000 penalty was imposed to each flexi.
Penalty of Rs 50,000 each was imposed for the flexis set up by Erragudla Srinivas in Hitech city, which totaled to Rs one lakh. More than 20 challans were issued against Minister Talasani and party general secretary.
Meanwhile, a penalty of Rs 50,000 and Rs 15,000 each were slapped on TRS social media convener Satish Reddy for putting up flexi on a boat in Hussain Sagar. While Shaik Hameed of Serilingampally received two E-challans each Rs one lakh for erecting hoardings in Gachibowli.
