Forces plotting to remove Kamma leaders from political arena in Telugu states: Minister Puvvada

Speaking after inaugurating ‘Kamma Maha Jana Samithi’ function hall at Wyra in Khammam district on Friday, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said that some forces are trying to remove Kamma leaders from political space in Telugu states. “The lone minister representing Kamma community had lost berth in recent Cabinet reshuffle in Andhra Pradesh,” he stated.

The minister alleged that some political leaders belonging to Khammam district are plotting to remove him from the Telangana Cabinet. “A few shadow politicians of Kamma community are extending support to those leaders,” he said. He made an appeal to members of Kamma group to fight unitedly against such forces.

Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court on Friday served notice to Ajay responding to a petition related to BJP worker Sai Ganesh, who committed suicide in Khammam reportedly unable to bear torture of police. The lawyer representing kin of Sai Ganesh requested the High Court to order CBI probe into Sai Ganesh death. The hearing adjourned to April 29.
