BJP getting ready to dump TDP in AP?
Hyderabad, Dec 20, 2014: Is BJP, in its strong determination to grow independently in Andhra Pradesh, going to change the political landscape of the state by leaving its political ally TDP in the lurch?
Reports have surfaced that BJP is in the process of dumping TDP in Andhra Pradesh to its fate and taking steps to strengthen its own base to wage a lonely battle in the next elections, whenever they take place.
BJP wants to grow independently in all south Indian states and keeping this in mind, it wants to increase the party membership base in Andhra Pradesh and spread its wings far and wide across the 13 districts.
If the urge to grow independently could be a primary reason for its possible decision to part ways with TDP in the near future, BJP, on a secondary note , also thinks that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's failure to implement his pre-poll promise of complete loan waiver and his dilly-dallying over implementing his other promises may not after all go down well with the masses as the days go by.
In these circumstances, BJP is of the opinion that sticking to the alliance with the TDP and playing the role of a second fiddle to it in the state may not fetch its rank and file any political dividends in the long run.
BJP, a partner in TDP Government in AP, may also come out of it very soon , going by the reports appearing in a section of the print media in the last few days.
BJP is of a clear mind on how to grow on its own in Telangana too. This is the reason why it has rejected an offer from Telangana Chief Minister KCR to take TRS members into the Union Cabinet.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked KCR for the gesture but rejected the proposal gracefully saying it wanted to grow in Telangana on its own.
