EPFO retains 8.75% interest on PF for 2014-15

Delhi, Dec 19: The Finance Ministry on Friday ratified the decision of the Central Board of Trustees of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to retain 8.75 per cent interest on their deposits for the 2014-15 financial year. The decision is going to benefit over five crore PF subscribers in the current fiscal, sources said. Now that the finance ministry has ratified the EPFO's decision, the Labour Ministry and the Income Tax department will now issue a notification on the decision.
