Achan Naidu calls Jagan thief, YSRCP members protest in House
Hyderabad, Dec 19, 2014: Strongly objecting to minister Achan Naidu calling leader of the opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy thief in the assembly on Friday, YSRCP members surrounded the Speaker podium and protested raising slogans against government and demanding Achan Naidu to withdraw his remarks.
When Jagan Mohan Reddy objected to the absence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during a discussion on Hudhud cyclone, Achan Naidu countered him and argued with him. During the arguments, he addressed the opposition leaders as thief.
Provoked by his remark, YSRCP members stormed into the Speaker podium and created pandemonium with slogans and arguments. During the melee, YSRCP and TDP MLAs pushed each other.
Deputy Speaker Buddha Prasad adjourned the House for a brief period. But, YSRCP members continued with their protest when reports last came in.
