AP will lead India in IT sector in next five years : Min Palle

Hyderabad, Dec 19, 2014: Andhra Pradesh will lead the country in the software development sector in the next five years, Information Technology Minister Palle Raghunath Reddy announced in the state assembly on Friday. Answering a question during the question hour, the minister told members that the Government is very much committed to develop the IT sector in the state. "While the software exports stood at Rs. 65,000 Cr during the united AP days, Andhra Pradesh has so far achieved software exports worth Rs.1700 Cr after the bifurcation," he revealed. The minister has also disclosed that some companies have come forward to invest in the ITIR Project at Visakha./
