Congress moves privilege motion against Venkaiah Naidu
New Delhi, Dec 18: The Congress Thursday moved a privilege motion in the Lok Sabha against Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu for "misleading" the house over the Christmas holiday in Navodaya schools issue.
The notice for privilege was moved by Congress MP K.C. Venugopal.
Venugopal has said in the notice that the HRD ministry had issued three circulars to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Navodaya schools and universities, contrary to government's claim that no circular to celebrate 'Good Governance Day' on Dec 25 was issued.
