Bharat Biotech donates Rs. 1 crore for Vijayawada’s Kanaka Durga temple, highest till date
Vaccine major Bharat Biotech has donated Rs. 1 crore to Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada for Nitya Annadanam. The pharma company has transferred the donation through online for the temple’s bank account. Temple authorities have launched Nitya Annadanam in 1991 with an initial amount of Rs 15 lakh.
Durga Temple’s Executive Officer (EO) Bramaramba has stated that donation given by Bharat Biotech for Annadanam programme till date is highest. So far, individuals and various private and government organisations have donated Rs 90 crore for providing free meals to devotees in the last three decades, she added.
