Police to act on Vishnu-Vamsi brawl, records statements

Hyderabad, Dec 17, 2014: The Hyderabad police are getting ready to act against Jubilee Hills former Congress MLA Vishnuvardhan Reddy in the case relating to his brawl with Kalvakurty Congress MLA Vamsichand Reddy. It may be recalled that Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Vamsichand Reddy were involved in a physical brawl at a marriage function in Hyderabad on Dec 12. The Congress duo fought each other in the presence of wedding guests and both of them lodged police complaints against each other. The police talked to the eye witnesses to the incident and recorded statements of 35 persons. According to sources, the police are likely to serve notices to Vishnuvardhan Reddy on the incident. The two youth Congress leaders maintained that it was a personal issue and refused to accept mediation by senior Congress leaders including TS Congress chief Ponnala LaKshmaiah.
