Ambati demands probe into Pegasus spyware purchase, lambasts TDP chief

Amaravati: YSRCP MLA Ambati Rambabu took potshots against TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. In the wake of allegations levelled by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee that the AP government had bought Pegasus spyware technology during Chandrababu's tenure. But, the TDP refuted Mamata's claims. As proof of this, the TDP has also pointed out the evidence provided by former AP DGP Gautam Sawang that the TDP government did not buy Pegasus technology when Naidu was at the helm.

In this context, addressing the media at the YSRCP headquarters at Tadepalli on Friday. Ambati Rambabu said, "Our party did not say whether the TDP government had bought Pegasus technology or not but it was stated by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. TDP has filed a case against Sakshi for writing that Lokesh had spent Rs 30 lakh on food .. and now will the party file a case against Mamata Banerjee? he asked.

Ambati, who targeted the TDP, alleged that Chandrababu, who claimed himself as the pioneer of technology in the country, posed a threat to the country's sovereignty. If there is any unethical politician in the country, it is Chandrababu. He was accused of indulging in unethical politics all his life. Hence, he demanded a probe into Pegasus technology purchase.
