Lok Ayukta issues notices to AP on power purchase agreements

Hyderabad, Dec 17, 2014: Lok Ayukta on Wednesday issued notices to Andhra Pradesh Government for violation of power distribution agreements. The Lok Ayukta sought an explanation from AP Government by Jan 19 on why power supply to Telangana state was stopped abruptly. The notices were issued following a petition filed by Telangana advocate Janardan Goud stating that the decision of the AP Government to stop power supply to TS was not at all justified and sought directions to AP for its restoration.
