Google offers Rs 1.7 cr package to IIT-Indore student

Indore, Dec 15: The multi-national search engine Google Inc has offered a package of Rs 1.7 crore per annum to a 21-year-old student of IIT Indore, which is one of the highest packages offered by the giant during campus placements at IITs. The B Tech final year in Computer Science and Engineering student, Gaurav Agarwal, is said have accepted the offer, according to a spokesperson of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. Agarwal, who hails from a middle-class family of Bhilai in Chhattisgarh, said his course at IIT-Indore will end in May 2015. He will then join the internet giant's office at California, he stated.
