BJP MLA sought Raichur's merger with Telangana: Minister Prashanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Telangana was developing on all fronts under the TRS rule, said Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy. He called upon the party activists to give wide publicity to the works and welfare schemes, which were being carried out and implemented by the government.

Otherwise, there is a possibility of false propaganda against the government by the opposition, he opined. "People from villages in Maharashtra have asked the government to merge their villages with Telangana. Similarly, Karnataka Raichur BJP MLA  said his constituency should be merged with Telangana. If there is no development in Telangana," how come they ask for the merger, the Minister questioned?

"The Union Ministers heaped praise on the development of Telangana, but state BJP leaders were indulging in mud-slinging, they should not be allowed to enter villages. We don't need those leaders who questioned the carving out a separate state for Telangana,"  he lambasted.
