Prime accused in Viveka's murder offered me land, alleges driver Dastagiri

Kadapa: The latest statement of the driver of YS Vivekananda Reddy, the former Minister and MP, in the Pulivendula court, has created a sensation. It may be recalled that Dastagiri, who worked as a car driver to Viveka, has already become an approver in the case. However, in his latest statement, Dastagiri said that even after becoming an approver, some people called him up and told him that they would pay as much as he asked, along with agricultural land, seeking some favours from him.

According to Dastagir, a man named Bharat called him up and asked him to rush to the helipad. When he went to the helipad, the prime accused in Viveka's murder, Devireddy Shankar Reddy, accompanied by his advocated Obul Reddy, were present there, he recalled.

Dastigiri, who became the approver in the case gave a statement to the CBI on August 25, 2021 about the aforesaid incident and also admitted the same in the Jammalamadugu court on August 31, 2021.

On September 30, 2021, he lodged a complaint with the CBI alleging that he had been lured by Bharat and others. All these things are mentioned by Dastigiri in the latest testimony.
