Dismiss TDP govt, AP Cong leaders urge Governor
Hyderabad, Dec 6: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N. Raghuveera Reddy led a delegation that called on Governor ESL Narasimhan in Hyderabad on Saturday to complain against the Telugu Desam Party Government for not fulfilling its pre-poll promises.
The delegation, comprising Rajya Sabha MPs K Chiranjeevi and T. Subbarami Reddy and former Union Minister MM Pallam Raju among others, submitted a 12-page memorandum to the Governor in this connection.
The leaders urged the Governor to first recommend the de-recognition of TDP and then dismissal of the government for its failure on poll promises.
The delegation also alleged that the AP government was forcibly acquiring land from farmers under land-pooling scheme for developing a new capital city for the state.
The delegation told the Governor that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's farm loan waiver fiasco led to large-scale suicides of farmers in distircts like Anantapur.
