Farmers to meet Chandrababu on capital city region today

Hyderabad, Dec 29: Farmers from at least six villages under the capital city region are likely to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday evening, according to sources here. The farmers belong to villages like Kuragallu, Borupalem, Abbarajupalem, Singarayapalem, Venkatpalem and Rayapudi, sources said. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh officials have recorded that their are 29 villages under the new capital city region having a total population of 1,02,401, sources revealed. According to officials, there are 51,786 acres of land available in the region, of which 37,701 acres come under patta lands. Overall, there are 10,656 families associated with agriculture in the capital region, sources added.
