AP will definetly get Special Status: Chandrababu
Hyderabad, Dec 5: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Friday assured that the central government will definitely accord a special status to his state and exuded confidence that Phase I of the new capital city will be completed by 2019.
Giving details of the new state's developmental activities to the media persons, the chief minister said the Gannavaram airport at Vijayawada will get a major face-lift in a period of six months and disclosed that the government will develop all the ports in the state.
Stating that all government welfare schemes will be linked with Aadhar numbers, Chandrababu said red sander smuggler mafia has the backing of politicians in the state.
He also said that his government will strive to make Andhra Pradesh a drought-free state and ensure that it will be one of the top three states in the country.
