5 of a family electrocuted in Anantapur dist

Anantapur, Nov 28: In a shocking incident, five members of a family were electrocuted when a high tension (HT) power line snapped and fell on them at Cheegalagurki village in Vidapanakal mandal of Anantapur district, according to reports. Reports said Revanna and his three sons - Yerri Swamy, Brahmiah and Veeraswamy - and a 17-year-old grandson Rajasekhar left for their farm on Friday morning. They were in the process of laying a pipeline from the electric motor on their farm land when the mishap occurred. All five of them died almost instantly. Though other farmers from the nearby fields rushed the victims to a local hospital, doctors declared all five as brought dead. On coming to know of the deaths, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is on a tour of Japan, expressed his shock and immediately ordered an inquiry into the incident.
