SHE team averts major crime incident; “teaser” held

Hyderabad, May.12: On May 11 evening, a telephone call was received at She team office wherein a lady stated that one known person was harassing her and forcibly taken her cell phone near Zee News Khairatabad.  She had also stated he was threatening her with dire consequences by showing a knife and requested for immediate action.

            On receipt of the complaint, the She team office directed the nearest She teams. The She team party reached the scene identified the lady and the respondent at Zee News Khairatabad and caught him red handed along with knife and enquired with the lady.

            On enquiry, it was gathered that the victim knew the respondent since 2013 and they were colleagues in a Private School situated at Medak. He used to follow her and proposed his love which was rejected by her, even though he continued his acts. Later, she left her job and joined a software company at Khairatabad. The accused used to come there also and demanded her to marry him and used to harass over phone.

As her marriage was settled, accused Paul Sunder Raj went to the victim’s office on May 11 at about 1900 hours and forcibly taken her cell phone. He was threatening her to marry him or else he will kill her and her fiancé and later commit suicide.

Later the victim and accused were taken to Saifabad PS and on the complaint of victim a case in Cr.No. 191/17 u/s 354 (D) (i) (ii) , 506 IPC. Had the SHE team would not have reached on time, the accused would have committed a serious offence. Due to immediate action of the She team, a major crime was prevented. The work of SHE team was appreciated and suitable reward would be awarded.
