Delay in shooting hikes SPYder budget?
The shooting of SPYder was launched some eight to nine months ago and is still continuing. The film makers have announced that their film would hit the screens in June. The release date was postponed as almost 50 days of shooting remained pending, according to film industry sources. Surprisingly, director Murugadoss, who did never take more than 100-150 days to complete a film also lost the track. If sources are to be believed, the release date would be somewhere in August. When they thought of releasing the film on August 11, the date has some clashes with some prominent Tamil and Hindi movies.
Gossips made rounds that the film may hit the screens on August 25. As the film is on sets for around one year, the budget which was expected at Rs 100 crore had went up to Rs 120 crore. At the most the film is likely to do business up to Rs 150 crore in all the three languages – Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. As the budgets exceeded the estimates, if the business goes down what would be the situation of the producers.
However, for all these above questions, the PRO BA Raju gave a fresh reply. According to him the shooting would resume from May 2 and the director would shoot the climax and the shooting would be wrapped up by May end. However, he did not give a clarification on the release date. Whatever be the gossips, the latest gossip is that the film-makers are planning to release the film on Srimanthudu release date, i.e., on August 7.
