Online booking just an eyewash for Bahubali-2
Make the hay while sun shines is the popular proverb. The film-makers are trying to cash in on the craze they earned with the Bahubali (The Beginning) for their upcoming movie Bahubali-2 (The Conclusion). Especially, they are playing a high-drama regarding the online booking. Generally for any heavy budget movie, online booking will be opened in almost all the multiplexes and other big theatres at least 10 days in advance.
However, the situation for Bahubali-2 is quite different. Of course, they opened the online booking 10 days in advance as usual. But the online tickets are being offered in theatres which are on the city’s outskirts and not in the heart of the city or within the city. Even these theatres were allowed for online booking for name sake or to claim that they opened online booking of tickets for the movie.
In this way the buyers, exhibitors and the producers are robbing the audiences. Moreover, permission was granted to screen the film for five to six shows a day per theatre for about one week or two weeks in both the Telugu speaking states. The analysts are claiming that the buyers, exhibitors and the producers have kept an eye on collection records and on the other hand did not allow the online booking for many theatres for the first one or two weeks.
