DSP not within the reach of low-budget producers
Rock Star Devisri Prasad has become the star music director and is not within the reach of low budget film producers these days. With the Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s prestigious 150th film Khaidi No. 150 fell into his lap, he became popular. Moreover, all the songs in the film have become more and more popular, which include ‘Rattalu Rattalu and Ammadu Lets Do Kummudu’. According to the film industry sources, Devisri Prasad is demanding anything not less than Rs 2.5 crore per film. In case if any one pleads with him to reduce the remuneration, at the most he will come down to Rs 2.25 crore and nothing less than that.

Prior to Gabbar Singh, DSP used to be available to low-budget film producers. However, after the musical success of that movie, he is on cloud nine and did not come down. After the release of ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, he reportedly doubled his remuneration. Generally a small budget film will have resources up to Rs 5 crore. In case, if the music director himself takes around Rs 2.5 crore, the remaining Rs 2 crore will not be sufficient for producing the film. It has become true that the film industry will make those who are in success the kings and pull down others. That is true in case of DSP and he too follows the principle ‘Make Hay While Sun Shines’.
