Bahubali-2: Design of ‘Kuntala Kingdom’ would be the highlight
In the Bahubali, The Beginning, Rajamouli has shown only the Mahishmati empire. However, in the second part Bahubali, the Conclusion, Rajamouli is going to show the Kuntala dynasty belongs to Anushka. In fact the film unit planned to shoot the Kuntala dynasty by going to Chambal Valley. However, when the unit had gone there, the entire area is full of greenery because of heavy rains and hence they returned to Hyderabad and chose a separate place and rebuilt the entire Chambal valley atmosphere by dumping over a 100 truckloads of soil and by laying roads besides painting the surrounding hillocks and shot several sequences.
Not only that, the film unit had brought some rare trees from Rajasthan and placed those trees in the set. Some hundreds of labourers worked day and night under the guidance of production designer Sabu Siril for about 40 days to redesign the Chambal valley area near Hyderabad, sources from the film unit had said. With the first part becoming a very big hit and expectations growing leaps and bounds on the second part in an unexpected range, Rajamouli moulded the film to suit those expectations. Prabhas’ heroism in Bahubali character would be at its peaks, while the characterisation of Rana, Anushka, Tamannah and other artistes would also be on par with the hero’s characterisation. It may be recalled here that Shobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni produced the movie on the banner of Arka Media Works. Keeravani scored the music while Senthil Kumar is the cinematographer.
