Thammineni Hopeful of a Grand Alliance in TS

Hyderabad, April.10: CPM state secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram has stated that Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, Balladeer Gaddar, Justice Chandra Kumar, T JAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram were emerging as alternative forces and   a forum  will be formed after discussing with them. Efforts were on to float a JAC to achieve social justice and discussions were going on it,  whether to start it as a political union or in other form, he said. He said that BC leader R Krishnaiah too is  gearing up to wage movements.

Participating in a  ‘Meet the Press’ program organized at Hyderabad Press Club by Telangana Working Journalists Federation (TWJF) here on Monday, Thammineni said that his Padayatra made Telangana Development Model for discussion. Development doesn’t mean figures of GDP and inflation, he opined and alleged that the conditions were same in Telangana state, which were there in united Andhra Pradesh state.  The education system collapsed and the TRS government was behaving atrociously towards tribal people, he said.  The farmers were suffering a lot as they were not in a position to get minimum support price and the same was informed to the state government through letters, he said.

Thammineni stated that he had taken up Maha Jana Padayatra because of the aspirations of the Telangana people were not fulfilled and demanded the state government to prepare sub-plan following the population basis.

Nobody has questioned about Padayatra though the TRS leaders called upon the people to obstruct Mahajana Padayatra,  and more so people extended grand welcome everywhere, he said.
Except TRS, all political parties have extended their solidarity to Mahajana Padayatra. There were some of TRS bigwigs who  welcomed and offered food and financial assistance. Congress, TDP, YSRCP, Lok Satta, New Democracy and other political parties extended their solidarity to Mahajana Padayatra, he informed.
