Right to education act strictly being implemented-Kadiam Srihari
Hyderabad, March.23: Deputy Chief Minister, Kadiam Srihari , in charge of Education Ministry, informed in the State Assembly that Telangana Government was effectively implementing the Right to Education Act in the state.
Replying to a question in the House on Thursday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the academic excellence has increased by seven percent in the schools at present when compared to the year 2014. This was also indicated in the Annual Status of Education Report for the year 2016 covering private/government/local body schools in rural areas, he added.
Srihari further said state government was continuously and sincerely making all efforts to improve learning outcomes of the children in the state with particular emphasis on bio-metric attendance, qualitative training of teachers and regular academic monitoring by the state level teams in government/local body schools.
The Deputy Chief also indicated that from the next academic year the government was contemplating to open play schools and anganwadis in all the primary schools in the state. He further said out of 529 Gurukul Schools started during two years, 300 of them were exclusively for girls. As a matter of fact Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is every particular that each revenue division should have one woman degree college.
Referring to filling up of teachers posts, the Deputy Chief Minister said that apart from the recruitments in Residential Schools, 8972 posts would be filled up. In all as many as 17000 teachers posts would be filled during the year in Residential as well as regular schools, he added.
